Past Events:

NRCS Field Day/Workshop July 23, 2009 focused on innovative conservation systems including shrimp farming, algae production, hay farming, and olive tree farming.

News: 

National Awards for Arizona Chapter and Chapter Members

The Arizona Chapter will receive THREE awards this year at the National Conference in Dearborn, Michigan. 

Cathy McGuire will receive the President's Leadership Award for outstanding service to the Arizona Chapter. Congratulations Cathy!! 

Mark Nearing will receive the Best Paper Research Award for Impact and Quality of a Paper published between 2004 & 2008. Congratulations Mark!!!

Arizona Chapter will receive a Chapter Achievement Award. Good work chapter!

 

Applications were due April 30, 2009 for the Ben Avery Scholarship

 

The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. will open a new exhibit in 2008 featuring soils. The project titled "SOILS: Worlds Underfoot" is a joint project between the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Soil Science Society of America.
