logo for the 2008 International Conference that will be held in
Tucson! |

Please send your ideas to Mary Nichols by
September 1, 2006. The theme and logo will be used on letter head
and everything connected to the conference. The Board will make
the final decision and the 2008 logo and theme will be rolled out
at our next meeting in the middle of October.

News: The
Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. will
open a new exhibit in 2008 featuring soils. The project titled "SOILS:
Worlds Underfoot" is a joint project between the
Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Soil Science Society
of America.
